Miyako Sawaragi (澤ラギミヤコ) is a character in the anime and manga Battle Spirits Shounen Toppa Bashin
Miyako has black hair and blue eyes. She wears a green kimono under a black shawl.
Miyako can be strict, but it's generally just out of concern for her children.
She was first seen at the Sawaragi gallery, where Kyouka and Okyou hoped Bashin would rekindle her relationship with J. When Bashin met her, he introduced himself as J's rival in Battle Spirits. Disliking Battle Spirits, and J's investment in the game, she wasn't happy to hear this.
During the event at the gallery, J announced a surprise tournament, in order to draw out a Nazo-Otona he believed to be on the premise. He locked all guests in the building, planning to keep them there until the Nazo-Otona was found. Angry at this, Miyako confronted him. J responded that she should leave, because she probably just hated him. This not being the case, she was further upset. Also feeling guilty for his actions, J gave up his deck to Miyako. Kyouka, who watched this, explained that J valued his deck more than anything. Miyako was still concerned, believing that J shut himself away from others due to his obsession with Battle Spirits. Kyouka explained to her that he became friends with Bashin, which surprised her.
After the incidents of the day, J found that Kyouka was teaching Miyako to play Battle Spirits. Having accepted J's passion for it, they were able to make up with each other. Miyako saw that J had been covering up a bad fever, and he fell asleep in her lap.
After this, Miyako came to watch J's tournament matches. After J became Jack Knight, she was further concerned for his new attitude towards the game. The family was reunited again once both J and his father quit Thousand Spirits Group.
During the King Uchuuchouten Cup, Miyako attempted to get through the guards, concerned for J and Kyouka. She makes it in time to watch the final battle.
